“The question for me is whether we can keep Earth a safe,
pleasant place for humankind and the ecosystems we rely on.”

– Kate Sheppard, civil rights activist.

Frequently asked questions

Q: How much does Gary charge to mow a lawn?
A:
It’s hard to say without seeing your yard. For example, a flat, squarish, neat lawn will be quick to mow and therefore relatively cheap. On the other hand, if your neck-high grass is hiding dozens of statues of frolicking Greek gods before it plunges over a precipitous cliff, your yard will be more challenging. There may be some danger money involved.

Q: How about a gardening price?
A: That depends on what you’d like done. I can take a look and let you know. (I do that for free! In fact, it’s so free I almost pay you! Almost.)

Q: How often should lawns be done?
A:
That depends on the time of year, how fantastic you want your lawns to look and how much you want to pay. In some seasons the grass grows crazy-quick. Then it magically slows down. You can adjust the schedule to suit.

Q: Should lawn clippings be mulched or caught?
A:
That’s up to you. Mulching is healthier for your lawn, and it’s cheaper for you because it takes me less time. Mulching is when the clippings are double-chopped (“chop-chopped”) by the mower and then allowed to fall back onto the lawn. It leaves a fine layer of nutritious clippings for your lawn to munch on, and if the grass is kept tidy, you may not even notice the mulching.

GOOD WORDS FOR A BETTER EARTH...

Nature is painting for us, day after day, pictures of infinite beauty. - John Ruskin, philosopher.
The Earth will not continue to offer its harvest, except with faithful stewardship. We cannot say we love the land and then take steps to destroy it for use by future generations. - Pope John Paul II.
Environmentally friendly cars will soon cease to be an option … they will become a necessity. - Fujio Cho, Honorary Chairman of Toyota Motors.
